Embroided Work Wear

Embroided Work Wear - Why Was The Fleece Invented?

Embroided work wear is something that many employers like their employees to wear. It is a kind of uniform that brings the team together and makes them feel as though they are part of a united group. One of the most popular piece of embroidered workwear is the fleece jacket.

The fleece jacket is everywhere these days, and is worn by workers and non-workers alike. But although they are so popular, they have actually only been around since the 1980s. Before that time, embroidered workwear UK wide for outdoor wear consisted of many layers of clothing. Although this did keep workers warm, when it got wet it also meant that the water became trapped within the work wear, and then could be very uncomfortable. Also, these layers of clothing could be restrictive for workers’ movements, meaning that they were unable to perform certain essential tasks safely and easily. In the 1980s, however, a company called Malden Mill created a new type of jacket – which could easily be worn as embroidered workwear – called the Polar Fleece. It was a breakthrough in workwear, and it allowed employees to have more freedom of movement, keep warm and still remain modern and stylish. The fleece soon caught on elsewhere too, and it became a fashion statement rather than simply a piece of work wear – although it is still used in work contexts today. As a bonus, fleeces are known to be environmentally friendly as they are made from reprocessed PET polyester.
